The Best of Lola Basyang includes twelve Filipino fairytales from the brain of Severino Reyes (yes, Lola Basyang is a guy!) Although one or two of the fairytales have similarities with western ones, this book is still an interesting and entertaining one—not only for kids, but for adults too (hey, I'm an adult!).
Maybe kids nowadays have no idea who Lola Basyang is. It is time for them to hear (or read) Lola Basyang's stories.
